What is the difference between mat work and equipment work?
Exercises for the mat work and equipment
are variations of the same movements. Mat work is done on the
floor without the use of any equipment. Equipment work
involves apparatuses with names like Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and
Barrels, which provide resistance and assistance in movements
similar to those in mat work.
What is core movement?
Core movements come from using our central nervous system in
conjunction with the deep stabilizing muscles of the back, abdomen, pelvic floor and gluteus.
